Community Art Project

Local artist, Larry Calkins, and team provided guidance and free supplies for children and families to make their own masks out of wood, bottle caps, and other recycled materials.

Drop-in art making was open throughout the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, in tents behind Heritage Hall.

Adults and children alike had fun creating and making their own masks that they could take home! Self-portrait coloring sheets were provided for younger artists.

Come make a mask with curated materials and then take photos in the selfie station, acting out wild and crazy ideas.

This community art project was sponsored by the Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission  and led by Larry Calkins, a multi-disciplinary artist and teacher. See more of his work at www.calkinsart.net
