Returning July 2019
Bring your kids & participate in family activities including arts, music, rides, robotics, and education
Bigger and better than ever! This year we have expanded our family-centric activities. Join us at CREATE ZONE presented by Frontier Communications at Heritage Hall and at KIDZONE presented by Kenworth at Heritage Park for eleven acres of family friendly fun.
create zone presented by frontier communications
Art. Music. Theater. Science. Create Zone at Heritage Hall is an interactive hub of exploration into the creative side of the imagination. Located at the geographical center of the festival, Create Zone is a great place to start your family journey through Summerfest. In 2018, we had the Lake Washington High School Robotics Demonstration, winning artists creations on the theme of Robotics, and the popular Drop In Drawing Jam. Participants also learned about Kirkland's fabulous Studio East and listened to live music by the Kirkland Civic Orchestra.
Street Fair presented by evergreenhealth
Enjoy corn on the cob, ice cream, bbq, or any other great food you can imagine. Get your face painted, a balloon animal, learn about robots, or get your hair done in our family friendly, free street fair! 200+ vendors throughout Kirkland Downtown.
Rotary Duck Dash
Each year participants join us for the Kirkland Rotary Club's annual Puget Sound Duck Dash! The race is held during the Kirkland Summerfest weekend celebrations. Proceeds from 2018 benefited the Kirkland community including high-school scholarships, winter coats for children, the Boys & Girls Club, TeenCenter, Miracle League Baseball, and many other important causes. We look forward to seeing you at this year's race!
Touch a Truck presented by BECU
Let the kids come check out safety response vehicles and ask questions from local heroes! Touch A Truck is located in KidZone at Heritage Park.
